Summer Lessons

Take advantage of amazing outdoor adventures in Mammoth Lakes and the Eastern Sierra. We offer daily lessons in a variety of sports along with specific camps during the summer.

Summer reservations open on June 1 for lessons starting July 5. This summer season may be a bit different because the snow is still melting from our record breaking year. We plan to offer all of our usual summer activities beginning on July 5th as conditions allow, and will stay flexible as areas and activities become available.

Regular Friday Morning lessons

July 7 – September 1, except August 25

  • Paddling: July 7 & 21, August 4 & 18
  • Road cycling: July 14 & 28, August 11, September 1

Activity locations may vary, depending on the sport, trail conditions, weather conditions, and equipment availability. Reservations required for all activities – details below for Making a Reservation.

We also offer adaptive mountain bike camps and a military sports camp (Operation High Altitude). Click the links for more details on these events!

Lesson Times 

9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

9:30 AM – 11:00 AM*

9:30 AM – 2:00 PM**

1:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Lesson Prices:

$145 per 2.5 hour lesson

$100 per 1.5 hour lesson*

$200 per 4.4 hour lesson**

All Lessons include lift tickets (if applicable), equipment, and instruction. Scholarships available.

Making a Reservation

To make a reservation, please fill out the required Student Information Form and Move United Liability Release below. Once these are completed, please give us a call at 760.934.0791. We are open from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Wednesday through Monday (closed Tuesdays)! We do not take reservations over email. Advanced reservations are required with at least 24 hours notice. Please call at least 48 hours in advance to make your reservation if you need rentals/lift tickets/Adventure Center tickets through DSES for your lesson, Monday – Friday.

DSES is a chapter of Move United which provides resources and insurance for adaptive sports and athletes in the US.

Cancellation Policy

Athletes may cancel a lesson at any time with no cancellation fee. To cancel a lesson, please email us at info@disabledsportseasternsierra.org or give us a call at 760.934.0791.

Directions

DSES operates out of the Panorama Gondola/Mammoth Kids/Adventure Center building at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area’s Main Lodge. We also operate lessons in various locations in the Mammoth and June Lake area. For directions to our different activity locations, please click here: Directions and Maps.
