Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra is a not-for-profit organization which is recognized as a 501(c)3 charity.
The Board of Directors oversees an Executive Director who manages the day-to-day operations with a small part-time staff. Volunteers are the key to the success of our Winter and Summer Programs.
The Winter Program teachs skiing and snowboarding to people of all disabilities. People with physical or cognitive disabilities are able to have fun and healthy experiences skiing in the beautiful Eastern Sierra.
The Summer Program teachs boating-fishing, kayaking, rock climbing, horseback riding, cycling, camping, hiking, environmental and other outdoor knowledge and skills that allow our students to enjoy the Eastern Sierra year-round.
We have adaptive equipment to fulfill everyone’s dreams of gliding down a snow-covered mountainside or enjoying the summer out-of-doors.
We have specialized teaching methodologies to enable guests with special needs to learn and enjoy their skiing experiences in winter and their outdoors experiences in summer. Every lesson is one-on-one and customized for each individual.
