FAQs

What is Sierra Cycle Challenge?

The Sierra Cycle Challenge is an annual summer fundraiser for groups and individuals who want to challenge themselves to ride 160 miles during July 19-25. This fundraiser raises critical funds for Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra.

How far do I have to ride?

We challenge folks to ride 160 miles but we encourage you to make your own goal for the week.

Can I still participate if I don't have a bike?

Of course! This fundraiser has traditionally been a bike challenge but individuals are welcome to do whatever is within their ability or goals.

Can I ride on a stationary bike or trainer?

Yes! Several of our participants last year met their challenges on an indoor bike and trainer.

What if I don't hit my fundraising goal?

Not a problem! Fundraising milestones exist to help encourage folks toward a goal. The goal represents what gift you will receive from DSES. We appreciate any support from challengers and no amount is too small.

Do I have to ride alone or can I do this with friends/family?

Are donations to Sierra Cycle Challenge tax-deductible?

Can I make a donation offline?
